Our October meeting will be Saturday the 10th at 2PM. We’ll be at the home of Asdiel Echevarria, 760 Rockville Rd in Wake Forest. This month, we’ll do some facilitated playing activities as well as feature a flutemaker and recording artist. As always, if you have a song to share, whether it’s a traditional tune, an improv piece, or a jam with you and a few friends, we look forward to hearing it. If you just want to hang out and listen, that’s cool too.
Also, a retirement community in Chapel Hill is looking for a flute player to perform during a Native American themed lunch gathering on November 5th. From what I understand, they would like someone to be there from 11:30 until 1:30, but that includes time to set up and also time to eat. This is a paying gig, although I’m not sure how much the honorarium will be. If you’re interested in performing, please let me know ASAP and I’ll give you the details and contact info.
In order to make life a little easier for all of us, I went ahead and scheduled out all meetings for 2026. We’re sticking with every other month for now. Here’s the schedule for the rest of the year:
December 5 (Jon)
Feel free to get in touch if you have any feedback regarding the flute circle. I look forward to seeing you on the 10th.
