December 2013 Meeting

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Now that you’ve eaten all your leftover turkey (or in some cases, Tofurkey), I wanted to pass along the details for our upcoming December gathering. On Saturday the 14th, from 2 to 6 PM, I’m hosting our 2nd Annual Epic Holiday Musical Shindig at my home. We’ll fire up the PA system, break out more instruments than you can count, and create lots of bodacious grooves and tasty jams. No discussion topics. Just music. And door prizes. And plenty of food. It wouldn’t be a holiday shindig without food. My family will provide an assortment of snacks and finger foods (definitely involving chocolate, with the possible appearance of something wrapped in bacon) as well as coffee, tea, and soft drinks. If you’d like to bring a treat to share, that’s great, but please don’t feel obligated to do so. My goal is just to get everyone together and enjoy creating music before the mad rush of the holidays.

We’re located at 112 Oakbeech Ct. in Holly Springs, just south of the Raleigh/Cary area. You should be able to find us on Google Maps or your trusty GPS, but if not, please let me know and I’ll be happy to provide you with directions. We’re on a cul-de-sac so parking is at a premium, but we’ll manage. I look forward to seeing you there.

Just shoot me an email (jon@jonnorrismusic.com) or RSVP to the Facebook event so we can get a headcount and plan accordingly. It would be tragic if we ran out of chocolate.

Also, just so you can get it on your calendar, our January meeting will be on Saturday the 18th at the home of Dawn Leith and Ed Dougherty in Roxboro.

Thanks,
Jon Norris
