June 2023 Meeting

Flute Friends,

Our June meeting will be this Saturday the 3rd at 2PM. We’ll be at the home of Melissa and Tony Griffin, 7001 Orchard Knoll Dr in Apex. They lead the Raleigh Drum Circle, so I’m sure we’ll be doing something involving percussion.

As we all know, Covid is still an issue. In order to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible, especially since some of our regular participants are high risk or immunocompromised, we ask that only fully vaccinated, boosted, and symptom-free people attend.

This month, we’ll be featuring a flutemaker and a recording artist. Then we’ll do some facilitated playing activities. As always, if you have a song to share, whether it’s a traditional tune, an improv piece, or a jam with you and a few friends, we look forward to hearing it. If you just want to hang out and listen, that’s cool too.

In order to make life a little easier for all of us, I went ahead and scheduled out all meetings for 2023. We’re sticking with every other month for now. Here’s the schedule for the rest of the year:

August 5
October 7
December 2

Feel free to get in touch if you have any feedback regarding the flute circle. I look forward to seeing you on the 3rd.
