Flute Friends,
Our next meeting will be on February 7th at 2PM. This month, we’ll be at Dawn and Ed Dougherty’s home, 2685 Ridgeville Rd in Prospect Hill, up Highway 86 north of Hillsborough. Their phone number is 919-801-2846 if you get lost or need directions. Ed and Dawn have a tiny but spunky cat, in case you have allergies or issues with animals.
Just to do something a little different this time, if you’ve gotten a new instrument lately, whether it’s a flute or something else, please bring it and be prepared to talk a little about it and briefly play it for us. Then we’ll do some facilitated playing activities. As always, if you have a song to share, whether it’s a traditional tune, an improv piece, or a jam with you and a few friends, we look forward to hearing it. If you just want to hang out and listen, that’s cool too.
In order to make life a little easier for all of us, I went ahead and scheduled out all meetings for 2026. We’re sticking with every other month for now. Here’s the schedule for the rest of the year:

As you can see, we need hosts for the next 3 meetings. If you’re able to offer your space for one of these meetings, please get in touch. Without your help, it’s a challenge for the flute circle to keep meeting.
