October 2021 Meeting

Our October meeting will be on Saturday the 9th at 2PM. This month, Lloyd Jenkins will be hosting us at his daughter’s house, 4616 Bartwood Drive in Raleigh.

We’re planning to meet outside for the safest gathering possible, but if the weather is uncooperative, we will move inside and spread out as much as possible. We ask that only vaccinated people attend. We won’t be sharing snacks (although you can still bring your own snacks if you want) and we certainly won’t be sharing flutes, but hopefully we can all enjoy some time sharing music again in a safe environment.

If you’re planning to attend, please RSVP via email, private message, or via the Facebook event so that we will know how many people are coming and can set up the space accordingly.

This month, things will be a little different than normal. We will start off with some facilitated playing time. Then, instead of our normal program, Lloyd has invited American Wildlife Refuge, an organization that specializes in rescuing and rehabilitating injured raptors, to bring some of their birds to visit. For more information on their organization, you can visit https://awrefuge.org/

As always, if you have a song to share, whether it’s a traditional tune, an improv piece, or a jam with you and a few friends, we look forward to hearing it. If you just want to hang out and listen, that’s cool too.

Feel free to get in touch if you have any feedback regarding the flute circle. I look forward to seeing you on the 9th.
