June 2019 Meeting

Flute Friends,

Our June meeting will be this SUNDAY the 2nd at 2PM. This time, we’ll be at the Forest Theater on the UNC Campus. Parking spaces should be available in the small theater parking area at 123 South Boundary Street in Chapel Hill or in a nearby lot at the intersection of Boundary Street and Park Place.

This month, we’ll be featuring the flutes of Bob Grealish and the music of Barry Stramp. Then we’ll do some facilitated playing activities. Please bring an A flute if you have one. As always, if you have a song to share, whether it’s a traditional tune, an improv piece, or a jam with you and a few friends, we look forward to hearing it. If you just want to hang out and listen, that’s cool too. If you’d like to bring a snack to share, feel free to do so.

In order to make life a little easier for all of us, I went ahead and scheduled out all meetings for 2019. Here’s the schedule:

July 13
August 3
September 7
October 5
November 2
December 7

Thanks to everyone who has volunteered to host this year. We still need a host for September 7. I know several of you said that you’d check your schedules and let me know. If you’d like to sign up to host one of those remaining spots, just let me know.

As always, feel free to get in touch if you have any feedback regarding the flute circle. I look forward to seeing you on the 2nd.
