May 2019 Meeting

Our May meeting will be this Saturday the 4th at 2PM. This time, we’ll be at the home of Catrrine Ponall, 2818 Bedford Avenue in Raleigh, near the NC State Campus. Bedford is a one way street, so you’ll need to come in on Dixie Trail, which runs between Wade Avenue and Hillsborough St.

This month, we’ll be featuring the flutes of Leroy Cully and the music of Tom Mauchahty-Ware. Then we’ll do some facilitated playing activities. As always, if you have a song to share, whether it’s a traditional tune, an improv piece, or a jam with you and a few friends, we look forward to hearing it. If you just want to hang out and listen, that’s cool too. If you’d like to bring a snack to share, feel free to do so.

In order to make life a little easier for all of us, I went ahead and scheduled out all meetings for 2019. Here’s the schedule:

June 2 (Sunday)
July 13
August 3
September 7
October 5
November 2
December 7

Thanks to everyone who has volunteered to host this year. We still need a host for September 7. I know several of you said that you’d check your schedules and let me know. If you’d like to sign up to host one of those remaining spots, just let me know.

As always, feel free to get in touch if you have any feedback regarding the flute circle. I look forward to seeing you on the 4th.
